He stared at the blank screen, the cursor blinking mockingly. The words wouldn't come. The creative block had him in its grip. He needed a break, a distraction from the pressure to perform. He opened the closet to start going through his mother's belongings.

In a forgotten corner, he found a cardboard box. Inside, he discovered a treasure trove of his past - every single piece of schoolwork he had ever completed. Every essay, every test, every drawing, all meticulously saved, organized, and labelled.

The effort to look through the box felt like a Herculean task. He ran a hand through his hair, the weight of it all pressing down on him. He just wanted to shut the door and forget it all.
